Wow, what a couple weeks! We have almost all the new collar up, although not yet formatted I'll do it this weekend!!), and wouldn't ya know it-just received about 35 new designs...it never ends!! LOL We would like to thank Greyhound Friends of NC and GPA-Richmond for putting together GREAT events last weekend!! Both events were a success for group and adopter alike, and as always, brought in much needed funds to get more dogs into adoption!! Woohoo!!

And as I mentioned last update, we bought several hundred yards of the COOLEST materials I have ever seen to start off the bed line with a bang! One more event next weekend (Project Racing Home in NC), and we will get them designed, built, and on the website!!

Hope to see ya next weekend!!

New collars are FINALLY in the website! We put up around 15 new releases in the past few days, so check 'em out!
Houndstown is headed to Gettysburg, PA Thursday morning for Greyhounds in Gettysburg, an event sponsored by Triangle Greyhound Society, and is, in my opinion, one of the best of the year. They do a SUPER job planning the event, and take care of all the little details that can sometimes slip through the cracks. I just want to say a big THANK YOU in advance for all the hard work that TGS puts in to make GiG a reality!
Alright, I guess I will let you guys in on a little something. We WILL be offering Houndstown dog beds this year! We have been contemplating the idea for about a year and a half now, and we finally bit the bullet and set aside a fairly large sum of money to be dedicated to building the bed line. Hopefully we will have the first rollout by the middle of June!!
We also just acquired a large number of a new greyhound statue-it's a pretty cool one-and it will be going on the website when we return from Gettysburg. We have all that we are going to get, so if you want one, go ahead and order it soon!
Seeing as I have about 4 days worth of work to do in the next day and a half, I better get going! Hope to see you guys in Gettysburg!!

First off, I just wanted to express my deep gratitude for the FENCE that was installed on Tuesday at my house!! We moved in our house in Dec., and have been walking the dogs about 5 times a day...the late afternoon walks are great, but the last potty break at 11 PM gets old fast...I was going to install the fence myself, as I am also a licensed general contractor and have installed quite a few fences before, but seeing as it had been 4 months and it hadn't been done yet, we finally paid someone to do it! I will post pics as soon as I get them.
On to business...the website is undergoing a much needed update, and I should be photoing about 10 new collars this afternoon!! Woohoo!!
We are almost ready (well, as much as you can be) for Greyhounds in Gettysburg! Adding the last few things as we speak, and finalizing inventory. We will try to get all of the new collars up before Gettysburg, but that is a push.
And if you don't have any plans yet...we are going to be at GiG (Gettysburg, PA) the last weekend in April, Cinco Demayo (GFNC-Greensboro, NC) the following Saturday, GPA Richmond's picnic (Richmond, VA) the following day, and PRH's open house (Randleman, NC) 2 weeks later!! Yeah, I will be taking a couple days off after that one!!
Anyway, check the website tonight and tomorrow for new collars!!

Well, Here It Is...

So this is my first time at this whole blogging thing! Houndstown is going great, and although it has been a long transition, is now a fully functional reality. Over the next 3 months, we plan to start updating the website once a week with new photos, new collars, deleting items that are no longer available, etc. The next year is going to be huge, transitioning Houndstown into a household name (well, that is, if you own a dog!). Enough for my first post...I figure it is kinda like running...better to start slow and speed up, then go all out and fizzle.....
